| Queens very own Bartlett Comtemporaries. I met them at Hal Jackson's Tip Top Talent Hunt Contest at Hotel Teresa, Harlem. I was their first vocalist. Kathy Lawrence was later changed to Kym two years later. We all went to Andrew Jackson High School in Queens (L.L. Cool J Alumni). Motown songs were heavy in our repertoire. I was a Mary Wells follower. Eddie Palmeri was the star performer. |

| 1963 I was preparing to be a subsitute for Florence Ballard of the Supremes never got the opportunity because I recorded 2 tracks for J. J. Jackson and Juggy Murray of Sue Records offered me a recording contract. Unfortunately it the contract wasn't signed because my parents wanted me to finish my high school education. | On my right you see Bill Jacobs, on vibes, Charles Bartlett playing guitar and very little of Dwight Gassaway on congas. The Bartlett experience for three years was wonderful. Mamma and Poppa Bartlett was very supporttive. |
